Understanding the Options tab on the customer record
The customer record page can be accessed by clicking on a customer's name - you can search for a customer under Accounts > Customers or use the search function on the top right of the platform.
From the Options tab:
Prepare a statement - this gives you the option to send this customer a manual statement at any time
Exclude from finance - if you use Invoice Finance with Satago, you may want to exclude certain customers from the Eligibility page. Ticking this box will ensure you only see eligible invoices for customers of whom you do wish to finance invoices.
Reminders, Statements and Thank You emails tickboxes - unticking any of these boxes will disable the email type so the system will no longer send the email to this customer.
Finance Reminders - this setting relates to sending automated emails to customers whose invoices we have financed against for your business - these are similar to the standard reminder templates and are enabled by default. The setting can only be changed by Satago underwriters. If you do not use Invoice Finance with Satago, the box will be unticked by default.
Delay all reminders until - any sheduled emails for this customer will be delayed until the date you have selected.
Reminders group - shows which tempate group this customer is in. If you have set up any additional groups under Credit Control Settings, they will appear in this list and you will be able to change the customer's group here.
Email Forwarding - enabled by default, this option allows the system to forward your customer's replies to your sending email address.
Default currency - the currency you use to raise the customer's invoices, picked up from the accounting package
Credit Limit - by default the system will display the recommended credit limit set by the credit bureau. When a customer breaches the credit limit, you will be notified (by default, unless you have amended your Notifcation settings) - you can set a custom credit limit if preferred by selecting Use Custom from the list - then enter the limit amount you'd like to set
Archived customer - if the customer is archived within the accounting package, this box will be ticked.
Override payment terms - it is advised to allow the system to pull the invoice payment terms from the accounting package, however if you do wish to override the settings for a specific customer, you can click Edit and choose the new payment terms for any new invoices to be imported into Satago.
Customise late payment fees - if you wish to charge late payment fees to your customers but want to calculate this customer's fees differently, here you can click Edit and customise their settings
