For Sage50 users - how can I find how I am connected to Satago
This FAQ is designed to help Sage 50 users identify how their accounting package is connected to Satago.
How can I find how I am connected to Satago?
You can easily check your connection type within the Satago platform:
Log in to your Satago account
Navigate to Organisation Settings.
Look for the connection status. It will clearly display either:
Sage50 via Connected Services
Sage50 via Desktop Connector
If you see Sage50 via Connected Services under Accounting software connections, it means you have connected to Satago directly through Sage and no connector installation is required.
If you see Sage 50 via Desktop Connector under Accounting software connections, it means there is a connector installed on your main Sage server or a remote server. If you are unable to to locate the connector, you will need to install it on the server- Downloading the Satago Connector on a New Sage Server / Computer
Understanding your connection type
1. Sage 50 via Desktop Connector
This is a standalone tool installed on your machine or server that securely pulls your accounting data and imports it into Satago.
How to access it: Locate the 'S' icon in your Windows system tray (bottom right of your screen).
Key Feature: It is a read-only connection; Satago will not push any information back to your Sage 50.
Management: You can right-click the 'S' icon and select Company List to manage your connected companies or perform a manual/full sync.
2. Sage 50 via Connected Services
Your connection is integrated directly through Sage's "Connected Services."
How to access it: Within Sage 50, log in as the Manager user and go to Connected Services > Credit Control and Risks Insights.
Management: You can manage settings and perform full re-syncs directly from the Satago Settings menu within Sage 50.
How do I check my Sage 50 version?
If you are unsure which connection method you should be using, check your Sage version:
Open Sage 50 Accounts.
Go to Help > About.
Note the version number displayed.
