FAQ - Multi-Factor Authentication
Setting up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security process that requires users to provide two or more verification factors to gain access to a resource, such as an application or online account. This method enhances security by adding an additional layer of protection beyond just a username and password. Common factors include something the user knows (like a password), something the user has (like a smartphone or hardware token), or something the user is (like a fingerprint).
In the case of Satago, MFA is implemented by sending a code to the registered email address of the user, which must be entered to complete the login process. This ensures that even if a password is compromised, unauthorised access is still prevented without the second factor.
This feature is enabled by the Admin user for your company. Once enabled it applies to all users in the organisation as well as any new users added.
