FAQ - Multi-Factor Authentication
Setting up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for logins
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security process requiring users to provide two or more verification factors to access a resource, such as an application or online account. This method improves security by adding a layer of protection beyond just a username and password. Common factors include:
Something the user knows (like a password)
Something the user has (like a smartphone or hardware token or email account)
In Satago, MFA is implemented by sending a code to the user's registered email address, which must be entered to complete the login process. This ensures that even if a password is compromised, unauthorized access is still prevented without the second factor.
An Admin user enables this feature for your company. Once activated, it applies to all users in the organization, including any new users added.
