Can I group customers I do not wish to send reminders to?
An alternative option to disabling emails for customers using the Reminder, Statement and Thank You tickboxes from the Customers list under the Accounts section, is the option to group customers into template groups which can have different templates, or emails completely disabled. Both options are effective for disabling emails for customers.
To create a separate group of customers where you wish to disable all or some email types, firstly go to Credit Control > Settings. Then click 'Create New Group':
Name your group, for example 'Do not chase' - copying from any group will do, as we will be switching off the templates. Click Create:
We can now move customers into the Do Not Chase group by clicking on '0 customers':
Select/tick customers to not be chased and click 'Move to Do Not Chase':
The customers are now sitting under the new group, with the option to move any customer back to Default (or any other group you create) at any time:
Let's now jump into the email templates fo this group.
Go back to Credit Control > Settings and select your new group from the list
Now click on 'Templates'
Each email template has the option to be disabled by unticking the box 'Enable this template' - you will need to untick the box and click the Save button for each email template you wish to disable, in this case we want to disable all templates:
Remember to click Save at the bottom of the template:
To disable Statement and Thank You Emails for this group you can take the same action within the relevant tabs shown here:
When you go back to view the Do Not Chase group under Credit Control Settings, you should now see each template is disabled, meaning the customers in this group will not receive any type of automated email:
