Company Credit Search

The Credit Search feature in Satago’s Risk Insights section allows you to look up any business in the UK or Ireland that is listed in the credit bureau’s database. This tool helps you assess whether to offer credit terms to new customers or review the financial health of existing customers.

How to use Company Credit Search

1. Go to Risk Insights > Credit Search in your Satago account.

2. Enter the company name or registration number in the search field.

3. Once you find the correct company, click View company page (or click the company name highlighted in blue).

You’ll be taken to a summary of the company’s credit report, which includes:

• Registered address – helps confirm you have the right company.

• Average days beyond terms (DBT) – the average number of days the business pays invoices late.

• Risk band – shows the company’s risk level, from very low to very high.

• Recommended credit limit – the suggested maximum invoice amount for this company.

• DBT trend – shows if payment behaviour is improving or worsening.

• Credit score trend – indicates if the company’s credit score is going up or down.

• Industry – the sector in which the company operates.

Viewing the full credit report

To see more detailed information, click View a complete credit report. This will use one of your credit report allowances and provides:

• Full credit score details

• Financial information

• Event history

• And more

You can also print or save the report using the print icon in the top right corner.
