How do I use Risk Insights? (US)
Match your customers, check a company's credit summary, open a full report when you need more detail, and keep an eye on alerts.
1. Match your own company
Matching links your business to the credit bureau's records. On your Dashboard, click Match your organisation, search for your company by name and select it. We will have attempted to match your organisation automatically, however you can update this if necessary.
2. Check your customers are matched
Satago automatically matches customers whose name in Sage 50 matches their legal company name. For the rest:
On your dashboard, go to Unmatched Customers.
Use the drop-down next to a customer's name and search for the company by name.
Select the right company. Its credit information appears straight away.
If a customer can't be matched (for example, an individual), choose Individual or Unmatchable.
Matched the wrong company? Open the customer, select Options, click the X next to the matched company and search again.
3. Check a company's credit summary
Go to Risk Insights > Credit Search.
Search for the company by name.
Click View company page.
The company page shows the risk band (very low to very high), recommended credit limit, average days beyond terms and whether payment behavior and credit score are improving or getting worse. Credit summaries are unlimited.
4. Open a full credit report when you need more detail
On the company page, click View a complete credit report. Full reports include the detailed credit score, financials and event history. Each one uses 1 of your 25 full credit reports (rolling 12 month allowance).
To see how many you've used, go to Admin > Organisation > Billing.
5. Keep an eye on alerts and reports
Credit limit breaches: see customers who owe you more than their recommended or custom credit limit. To set your own limit for a customer, open the customer, select Options and choose Use Custom.
Notifications: Satago tells you when a customer's credit risk changes. Choose how you're notified from the notifications button next to the search bar.
Ledger reports: see your largest and oldest open invoices, and where your risk is concentrated.
