How can my IT team install the Satago Sage 50 connector?

If your IT team needs to install the Sage 50 connector you can provide them the instructions below.

if you already have Satago setup and are moving to a new compute/server please view Downloading the Satago Connector on a New Sage Server / Computer otherwise follow the steps below

  • Select Sage as the accounting package

Installation Steps

 

  1. Copy the Download Link:
    Click the Download button and select Copy License Key. Paste this link for your IT team to download the installer.

  1. Copy your License Key:
    Each customer account has a unique license key (do not use the example key shown in screenshots).

    Send the Download Link and License Key to your IT contact. They will need to let you know once the install is complete

 

  1. Run the Installer:

  • Once downloaded, click on the ^ arrow to run the installer:

  1. Follow the Installation Wizard:

  • Click Next on the first screen.

  • Read and accept the License Agreement.

  • Paste your License key when prompted, then click ‘Next’.

The component to install will be selected automatically, then click 'Next'

  • Confirm the installation folder and click Next.

  • Close any conflicting programs and click Install.

  • Click Finish to run the connector.

  1. When the Company List dialogue appears, click Add Company.

  1. Select your company from the dropdown list.

  1. Enter the Sage Username (this should always be 'MANAGER') and Password, then click Test Connection.

  • If the 'sync enabled' box isn't ticked, double-click your company name, select the tick box, click Save, and close the pop-up window.

  1. Once validated successfully, click 'Save'.

  • On the Company List page, click View Settings (or right-click the Sage 50 connector icon in your system tray and select Settings).

  • Ensure the Only upload from this computer (master) box is ticked.

The data synchronisation will begin immediately and the Sync Status column will reflect the state of the synchronisation. When the status changes to Synched you can click 'Exit'. The connector will continue to automatically run every 3 hours as a background service.

  1. Once IT confirms successful installation, return to the Connect task flow in your web browser and click Continue.

  2. Select your company from the dropdown list (if you have multiple companies, you’ll see more than one option) and click Continue.

  3. The data import progress will be displayed. When complete, click Get Started.

You will land on your Dashboard in Satago where you can complete the set up for the features you are most interested in:

How do I access the Sage 50 Connector after installation?

If your IT need to access the Sage 50 Connector, it can be accessed from the systems tray on the machine it was installed on. Just right-click on the 'S' icon:

And select Company List to manage your connected companies.
